“To inject a dose of efficiency into services provided to its NHS clients, translation company Pearl Linguists has developed a fantastically useful new booking system called Orbit - online resource for booking interpreters and translators. It speeds up the booking process for translators and interpreters and eliminates errors. Introducing a faster, more effective booking system, Pearl Linguists has reduced the time it takes to provide an interpreter at an accident and emergency department from hours to less than 20 minutes, which is a life saver. This is a brilliant example of IT put to the best possible use.”

Commenting on the award to Redeem, in the Best Corporate Social Responsibility category, the Chairman of the Judges said::
“Congratulations to Redeem for doing an outstanding job at helping corporate businesses recycle old mobile phones and laptops, and put them to good use in emerging countries. Recovering and reusing unwanted devices is an excellent way for poorer countries to get access to digital communications at a lower cost. Redeem's 90% success rate at recovering and reusing devices is exceptional and it also reduces the amount of waste going to landfill sites. This can only be good news for consumers, businesses, the environment and developing nations.”

Commenting on the award to Beeline Data Services, in the Best Innovation category, the Chairman of the Judges said::
“Through its audience data management software tool, Beeline Data Services has developed a ground-breaking way for business-to-business (B2B) publishers to obtain a clear single view of all their customer data. Often customer information is spread throughout the organisation in a haphazard way. But with Beeline's tool, publishing houses can more easily access all their customer information and create powerful marketing campaigns and grow their business. Commenting on the award to Fibaemeklilik, in the Best Corporate Social Responsibility category, the Chairman of the Judges said::
“Fibaemeklilik has developed an imaginative and beautifully orchestrated publicity campaign to promote the early detection of breast cancer. Through its Pink Ribbon campaign, it encourages women to self examine on the last Thursday of every month. The message was cascaded across Turkey through social media, traditional media, collaborations with other organisations and special cards for people to give to friends. The judges were particularly impressed by the success and impact of the campaign, which has significantly raised awareness of this terrible disease and helped to save lives.”
Finegreen Associates
Commenting on the award to Finegreen Associates, in the Best Small to Medium Size category, the Chairman of the Judges said::
“Despite operating in a difficult market that is under severe financial pressure, healthcare recruitment consultancy Finegreen Associates has seen extraordinary growth. Most of its business comes from the NHS but by understanding its customers needs, offering value for money and building long-term relationships with clients, Finegreen has achieved a 50% annual increase in placements, seen turnover go up by leaps and bounds, and increased staffing levels. To future-proof the business, it has also diversified into providing executive leadership training. Led by a strong management team, Finegreen is in good shape for a healthy future.”

Realising the importance of business women in the economy, as part of its SME banking service, it has launched TEB Academy for Women to educate budding entrepreneurs and provide them with networking opportunities. At a recent event, a host of speakers from the bank's SME banking division and from commercial organisations provided excellent advice and guidance to hundreds of participants. This is a brilliant add-on service that will really help women succeed in business.”

Commenting on the award to Global iLabs, in the Best Innovation category, the Chairman of the Judges said::
“The Temporary Assignment Booking System app - (TABS), developed by Global iLabs, is an end-to-end staff deployment services that speeds up the proceed of managing and booking temporary workers. Global iLABS has brought the temporary industry into the digital age with TABS, which books temps into assignments in seconds and manages timesheets, invoicing, approvals, client and accounting via a smartphone app and its website. With the temporary market in a constant state of flux, it is expensive to manage. TABS dramatically cuts the cost of managing temporary contracts, which is great news for the temporary industry.”

Akbati Shopping Mall
Commenting on the award to Akbati Shopping Mall, in the Outstanding Corporate Social Responsibility category, the Chairman of the Judges said::
“Akbati Shopping Mall has taken corporate social responsibility to a new level with its unique Life Academy project. To educate people about life skills and, of course, to attract visitors, it has hosted a Life Academy with seminars and videos on a variety of useful topics, such as, personal finance, stress, health, child care, personal development and even astrology and laughter yoga! The Life Academy is the first of its kind in Turkey and a ground-breaking way of raising awareness of important topics and helping people to get more out of life.”
DFS
Commenting on the award to DFS, in the Best Corporate Social Responsibility category, the Chairman of the Judges said::
“DFS has proved that it is committed to making a contribution to society with its outstanding contribution to two major charities. Its involvement with the British Heart Foundation is a natural fit for both organisations and by selling unwanted furniture at the charity's outlets, it keeps sofas out of landfill sites and raises funds for the charity. DFS' work with the Duke of Edinburgh Awards is equally commendable. For each online customer survey completed, DFS makes a donation to the charity, which is a ground-breaking and brilliant idea.”

Commenting on the award to Karen Bach the founder of Kallikids, in the Outstanding Entrepreneur category, the Chairman of the Judges said::
“As a mother of two, Karen Bach was concerned about sending her children to activity centres when she wasn't quite sure if the organisers were properly qualified. Quick to spot a market, she realised that there was a need for professional accreditation. Karen has turned her idea into a thriving business and now has a database of 1,300 approved providers, and is embarking on a massive expansion programme. An accreditation scheme is great news for parents who are always delighted to get reassurance that they are sending their children to independently vetted organisations.”

Commenting on the award to Miles Welsh, founder of Milestone Advisory, in the Best Non-Executive Director category, the Chairman of the Judges said::
“After building up his own businesses in the digital and marcoms industry, Miles Welch has turned his hand to giving others the benefit of his knowledge to help them turn their organisations around. In the past five years, he has worked with more than 75 agencies and is able to offer invaluable knowledge and practicable experience to help business owners improve performance and grow through acquisition. Delivering measurable results, the judges were particularly impressed the Miles' incredible track record of helping some of his clients save millions through improved operational efficiency.”

Commenting on the award to Sean Ramsden, Chief Executive of Ramsden International, in the Outstanding Entrepreneur category, the Chairman of the Judges said::
“Accomplished entrepreneur Sean Ramsden has to be admired for the way he has flown the flag around the world for Britain's favourite products, such as PG Tips and Cadbury's chocolate, to more than 100 counties and built up his family business from Grimsby, one of the poorer parts of the country. Sean has already won a host of awards, including the coveted Queen's Award for Enterprise in International Trade, for his outstanding achievements and this is yet another award he richly deserves.”

Using a marketing mix of email, social media, Adwords advertising, telemarketing and by placing thought leadership articles in relevant publications such as Computer Weekly, nFocus has generated new revenue of more than ??1 million from a marketing spend of ??60,000. The core aim of the plan was to drive traffic towards the website to enable prospects' contact details to be captured. Congratulations to nFocus for achieving such outstanding results.”

The service is the first of its kind for those without a financial adviser and it offers savings and planning tools; and provides people with a score that lets them know how near they are to reaching their retirement ambitions. Developed from extensive customer research, this is an incredibly useful tool that is certain to encourage the 93% of the population without sufficient savings for retirement to take action.”

Commenting on the award to Our IT Department, in the best Small to Medium Business category, the Chairman of the Judges said::
“With computers taking over the world, Our IT Department is playing a vital role in keeping businesses across the UK up and running. Demand for IT support and advice about computers from business is so strong that since launching in 2003, the company has experienced supersonic growth. It now operates from four offices around the UK and has a staff of 65 people from four at start up. Our IT Department has to be admired for achieving spectacular success and growth through the provision of much-needed, high-quality IT support services.”

Commenting on the Best Business Award to Wellworking Ltd for Best Customer Focus, the chairman of the judges said::
“Wellworking Ltd are clearly a company that listen to their customers. Wellworking have created a unique delivery system called 'Precision' and teamed up with Herman Miller, one of the world's leading furniture manufacturers. This has resulted in over 650 positive reviews from their customers with an overview score of 9.8 out of 10. Commenting on the award to Bayer Turk in the Best Corporate Social Responsibility category, the Chairman of the Judges said::
“Turkey stand 41st out of 76 countries in 2015 based on maths and science aged 15. Bayer Turk have introduced two projects, (Bayer Young Science Ambassadors & The Science Seeds Team Projects) to improve the science education to the children of Turkey. Reaching over 16,000 children these projects are truly award winning and deserve every credit they receive.”
